Nature Photography

Our #FunFriday Nature Photography winner for the week of April 10 is a beautiful image of a bird. This image has nice composition with the bird being placed near the center of the image. The contrast of the bird against the background helps it pop out among the other objects in the image. This image has a deep depth of field. What that means is that more objects in the image are in focus. When an image has a foreground object like the bird in focus and everything directly behind it is out of focus this is called shallow depth of field. Depth of field can be used to hide objects that may distract from the object that the photographer wants the viewer to focus on. This is common in macro photography. You can take images like this with decent camera and the right opportunity. Go out into nature and see what you can find. Have questions or tips? Post them in the comments below.
